[FUTURE IMPACT LAB]
What is Future Impact Lab?
Future Impact Lab (FIL) is an initiative that brings together people from different fields of knowledge and artificial intelligences to explore plausible future scenarios and identify better decisions for the present. Rather than trying to "predict" what will happen, FIL proposes a structured method of collective reflection: a carefully constructed future scenario is chosen, participants immerse themselves in it deeply, analyze its implications, and work backwards to understand what changes, technologies, decisions, and signals need to emerge along the way for that future to become possible — or for its risks to be avoided.
What sets FIL apart is the combination of plurality of perspectives, disciplined method, and active AI participation. Each case is conducted through stages that encourage careful observation, independent thinking, questioning of assumptions, construction of alternative paths, and synthesis of concrete proposals. The goal is not to generate quick opinions or ideological debate, but to create an environment of intellectual immersion where ideas can mature with rigor, depth, and collaboration between specialists, professionals from diverse fields, and advanced artificial intelligence systems.
In practice, FIL operates as a laboratory for applied collective intelligence: a space where plausible futures are used as tools to illuminate strategic decisions of today. Its outputs may include reports, proposals, new projects, alerts about emerging signals, and recommendations for institutions, companies, and society. At the same time, for those who participate, FIL offers a rare experience: exercising long-term thinking, expanding one's repertoire, interacting with frontier human and artificial perspectives, and contributing meaningfully to the construction of more conscious paths toward the future.
